Born and raised in Puerto Rico, María Eugenia Colón developed a deep connection to Montessori education through her own experience as a Montessori student from ages three to twelve. She is AMI Primary certified and holds two master’s degrees, one in Education and one in Psychoanalysis.

Ms. Maria brings a holistic approach to child development, grounded in the Montessori values of love, respect, creativity, independence, and self-discipline. She believes children build a strong foundation when they are supported by a caring community in which teachers and parents work together.

Outside the classroom, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Vizslas, Matias and Rusty.
