Day Care – Bee Cave

People may be confused about the difference between Lake Hills Montessori Bee Cave and a Day Care. A Day Care does not normally have a goal to provide learning experiences for the child. A Day Care, might be just that …. a place to place a child for the day. The biggest differences between a Day Care and a Montessori School lies in the kind of learning experiences each school provides and the methods they use to accomplish this goal. Montessori educators believe these differences are important because they help shape how a child learns, their work habits and their future attitude towards themselves and the world around them. In a Montessori school, the Guide will follow the will of the child while in a non Montessori Day Care, the children follow the will of the teacher. Montessori educated children are problem-solvers who can make appropriate choices, manage their time, and work well with others. Exchanging ideas and discussing work freely build the foundation for negotiating new settings through learning these skills to communicate positively.
